Outdoor Classroom
We believe a classroom doesn’t have to have walls. Our program days emphasize outdoor learning through year-round activities and play outside . We spend, on average 2 to 3 hours outside every day. We do not just send out kids out for recess, rather our students explore, observe, create and innovate outside throughout their day. They play, burn energy, learn about nature, and sometimes eat and do class outside throughout the year.

Mental Health Focus
A child's brain has developed 90% by the age of 5.
The emotional well being of children is just as important as their physical health. Good mental health allows children and young people to develop the resilience to cope with whatever life throws at them and grow into well-rounded, healthy adults.
Things that can help keep children and young people mentally well include:
-
being in good physical health, eating a balanced diet
-
feeling loved, trusted, understood, valued and safe
-
being interested in life and having opportunities to enjoy themselves
-
being hopeful and optimistic
Seasonal Garden
Winter, spring, summer and fall, we focus on activities that involve touch, smell, seeing, hearing and tasting the seasons. We play and learn in our school gardens. When the season allows, we grow fruits and vegetables and are able to use them for our snacks. Developing and maintaining gardens teach children about science, nature and responsibility. There is no shortage of year-round learning activities that stretch the imagination and strengthen the body and mind.
